Orbis Intelligent Systems is pleased to announce it has been awarded the Cyber Essentials (CE) Certificate of Assurance. CE is a UK Government backed scheme that helps guard organisations against cyber-attack and demonstrates commitment to cyber security.

Orbis was accredited by National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) approved provider IASME. NCSC says the certificate offers peace of mind that a company’s defences are compliant and will protect against the vast majority of common cyber-attacks, because these attacks are looking for targets which do not have the CE technical controls in place.

Attacks come in many shapes and sizes, but the vast majority are very basic in nature, carried out by relatively unskilled individuals – the digital equivalent of a thief trying your front door to see if it is unlocked. Following and complying with the Cyber Essentials guidance is designed to prevent these attacks.

Organisations assess themselves against five basic security controls and the qualified assessor verifies the information provided. It allows organisations of all sizes to demonstrate their commitment to cyber security.

Phil Walker, chief executive of Orbis Intelligent Systems said, “We take cyber-security incredibly seriously at Orbis. By certifying that our IT is Cyber Essentials compliant, we seek to reassure our customers that we operate to the highest levels of best practice in this critical area.

“I would like to thank the Orbis team for their hard work in securing this accreditation.”
